Adherence Rater and Study Consultant
I have provided oversight, training and supervision for their treatment compliance to a range clinical research protocols on grant funded projects that include MAPS, NIH, NIAAA, NIDA, DOE, DOJ, CALMHSA and the Jed Foundation.

Clinical Supervision and Training Consultant
I have provided clinical supervision and training for over 25 years to a range of mental health professionals including Predoctoral and Post-Doctoral Psychology Interns and Residents, Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Peer Health Educators.

Clinical Director for Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)
I managed the clinical operations, directed strategic initiatives to promote student health, and provided clinical oversight of a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.

I founded the UCSD Peer Substance Abuse and Evaluation Program, the UCSD Student Recovery Program and The Zone: A Wellness Lounge.
Biography
I am a clinical psychologist with specialties in Motivational Interviewing, college student mental health, substance use disorders, and suicide prevention. I have provided clinical supervision and training to a range of professionals in a variety of settings including the Veterans Administration and various colleges and universities.
I have provided consultation to research initiatives in the areas of Motivational Interviewing and Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy, as well as conducting my own research and developing impactful initiatives in the areas of suicide prevention, veteran mental health, and substance abuse. I am also a motivational interviewing trainer who has successfully trained over 1,000 mental health and medical professionals. Finally, I have recently completed the MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy Training Course.
